and let's see if that one stay steady okay welcome so the new tradition is not that new but is a tradition that if anyone feel that your clarity understanding and the challenge of speaking up the truth of your own being is up for taking anyone can give us an introduction so it is just to string a couple of pointers together to remind what is equal and the same for everyone to remind and highlight that everyone is already aware of existence there is no one who is not conscious there is no one who is not present and aware of being present and this is the final truth and it seems like very very little or even nothing for the mind but we are not speaking speaking to minds here we are inviting a resonation of much much much deeper core essence or heart not the mind for the mind the miracle of existence is nothing but is it really nothing like everyone wants to preserve life every motivation of every action of every behavior is to thrive is to run away from discomfort find fulfillment is all asserting the love of being so i'm speaking to the guys here in the room and maybe i'll just spin it a little bit more again just just this way here we have we have brendan with us chris tony joe and ismail and we will respect the privacy of the other part of the room and we gonna invite you guys on zoom if any of you would like to give us a spiel you most welcome as well hands up or if anyone wants to unmute and just put a couple of things if not that's perfectly fine i can i have tons of ways of introducing it in an easy way hopefully easy and you feel free to interrupt anyone i i i would I would like to thank you very much to everyone and to Sailor Bob and to you, Kat.
You know, and this is my first time here, so I'm a little nervous and afraid to tie it all together. But I will say that I understand it when it's set, when you talk about it. It's very clear to me. So thank you. Thank you and welcome. Yeah, it's like the more it comes through and the more it resonates and the more it expresses itself, the more it kind of reasserts and grows in confidence. And then, as Bob would always say, you know, it never stops appearing in 10,000 ways and dancing with itself and unfolding and uncovering itself in the little synchronicities, in the little wings where the dream, shows up that beauty and the mind comes speechless.
This is really the homecoming. The recognition is just the beginning. The adventure doesn't stop and the dream doesn't end. It's like one of Bob's friends, people who used to have phone conversation with him, Leo Hartung wrote a book, Awakening to the Dream. Bob says, look, the title says, absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Everything. You don't have to even read the book anymore. You already know what it is, the whole thing about awakening to the fact that it is a dream. Awakening from the dream is unnecessary. Why? This is it. This is now. And the dream goes on. And there is nothing wrong in this moment when the dream goes on.
The idea that, oh, no, no, it has to be different. I have to wake up from the dream. This has to change. This, as it is right now, is no good. This is the mind. This is the narrative of the mind saying it. When you actually relax the attention a little bit, step back and see that commentary, that complaining mind. Then you can laugh. You can just relax and see the mind obsessing about things or complaining about things or always wanting what is not. Always wanting something else, something better, something more pleasant. Or creating the dark side. Dark scenarios of what can go wrong. Or relieving the past trauma.
Always engaging the attention in the imagination, in mental projections, not in the dream, the immediacy of this, what is happening now. And what is it? Apart from the content of seeing, pretty amazing, big visual field and everything that appears in it. It is the mind. The mind is inseparable from the field, the hearing, the tasting, the touching, the smelling, the fullness of this moment that will never be the same again, that is absolutely unique and is absolutelyno thing wrong. If all the channels are completely open. If the attention is unfixed item, if the veil of imagining something different, something else, something that is not right here.
Right now, that's strange, and I'm very concerned. and not right now if that imagining is pushed aside gently or is seen through there is nothing wrong life is pretty satisfying or at least it's just nothing wrong because sometimes it isn't you know like if you have any pain or if you have a stomachache or whatever just stay our situations that are not entirely ideal and even having the content of the mind complaining about it is appropriate because that's an expression of the love of being even the preference for being pain free and fulfilled is an expression of the love of being so if you actually step back relax the attention and see it as an expression of a love of being okay you there's nothing wrong with that it's nothing wrong with being in pain and the mind not wanting to be in pain Wow Wow even the difficult situations can be okay and also realizing that the whole dream can only appear dualistically you know if everything was white if there was a white picture on the white canvas and when you look at a person in a way it's not exactly a reflection there's no picture oh if there is a dark night and it is Bar Bart and or mythical in fantasy or reality there is no expression the the whole beauty of the dream the whole beauty of that experience sync is that it has to be two a holistic nothing can be experienced that doesn't have the opposite and that's why the awareness of existence which doesn't have opposite the mind as an object it cannot because it doesn't have opposite you've never been unaware oh yes you can say our last night I was sleeping but you can't really relate to that because there was no one who could actually even have it for the comparison so it is undeniable everyone is present is aware is alive and is aware of being present and alive but you can't say that being alive is something warm or hot or low or dark or because those qualities are added and those are the qualities that are of the appearance of the expression if something is hot how do you know because you know the cold if something is dark how do you know because you know the light if something is hot how do you know because you know the cold if something is hot how do you know because you know the sad otherwise the differentiation doesn't happen and the differentiation is the beauty of the whole dream the whole juiciness of that of that incredible appearance so it isn't to discard the mind it has its role it has its function as a means as a tool of expression not as a master not as a source of identity as a means as a drug not as a symbol of identity realizing that you are present you are the presence you are conscious you are the consciousness you are if you actually look at the singularity of the experience of seeing just there just just there seeing in English language you have seeing or understanding saying i see i am staff i get it this is kind of similar in the jargon of wisdom on the jargon and it is knowing seeing knowing being knowing is kind of similar as a metaphor and Bob used that metaphor quite loosely also he says you see that the seeing is happening right the seeing is happening and the idea that there is a little mini me looking out of the eyes there doing it can be very very easily investigated like make that little mini me stop and you see the seeing still going on it's a function it's a it's just a functioning of that whole body mind bio computer the machine is happening same knowing knowing knowing of existence is always there no one does it there doesn't need to be a nowhere that knows of the knowing it doesn't have to be a knowing it doesn't have to be a knowing it doesn't have to be a knowing it doesn't have to be a seer that knows of a seeing or does the seeing it's a singular happening right now is happening the seeing the knowing the being the knowing of being the knowing of seeing of hearing is happening now the mind comes and constructs there is a me that is doing the knowing doing the seeing animals don't have that concept animals don't have that concept there is no concept of the cat that i am a there is no concept of the cat that i am a there is no concept of the cat that i am a mini little person there mini little person there mini little person there a mini little cat that doing the seeing a mini little cat that doing the seeing a mini little cat that doing the seeing no they won with life no they won with life no they won with life they are the field of seeing they are the field of seeing they are the field of seeing and so are you and so am i it's just the and so are you and so am i it's just the and so are you and so am i it's just the field of seeing using that particular field of seeing using that particular field of seeing using that particular camera located here camera located here camera located here just like the field of seeing you know like watching a big ship security system or shopping mall or whatever people have those cameras in their homes vantage points a viewpoints in which there is an angle of perception and that is processed in consciousness but does it mean I am that point does it mean I'm that little camera it doesn't the mind for the ease of navigation will assume that there is a there is a person here and it's nothing wrong with that it's quite beautiful we say I why not like too boring already I've repeated too many times but you know if we ride in a bus we say I am riding in the bus and I'm not touching I'm not even touching it control or I'm parking a car and I'm sitting still I say oh this this is too small for me this parking space is too small for me like really I'm the car right now but for the purpose of navigation that's a perfect metaphor that's a perfect use of a language I am my car I am my costume I am my face I am this body for the purpose of parking my body on this particular chair you know it's kind of good to assume its shape just like parking a car there's nothing wrong with the language if we understand what the language is pointing for what it is used for and if we see that identity created in a language as something that is serving its purpose rather than being believed to be the truth the The belief is the main source of psychological suffering.
If I am my car and I can't fit into that parking spot and I can start feeling, oh shit, you know, I'm too big, I have to lose weight, I'm a failure. What's wrong with me? No one should love me. I don't deserve to be loved because I'm my car. Can you see how every problem you ever have is the problem that is associated with the body? I think the cat is actually... Yes. So looking at it lightly, looking at that phenomenon of how the magic trick of identity gets constructed for practical purposes and appreciating the language and the functionality of that, that is the idea of me.
But without subscribing to it fully, without believing fanatically that I am my body, therefore I'm getting old, I'm getting forgetful, I'm getting fat, then I should kill myself or I should go for a therapy. No, I'm still the same consciousness in the aging car. So can I still be completely content in the magic? In the miraculousness of this ever fresh unfolding moment which unfolds in me, in consciousness? The whole world unfolds in me, in consciousness. And isn't that your experience? Have a look. You are here, therefore there is a seeing. You are here, therefore there is a whole visual field. It arises in you in conscious awareness.
And everything that is within, in that field of seeing, also arises in you in the conscious awareness. Are you really that small little thing coming into the world? Or you are the consciousness, the whole presence, the whole beingness, and the world comes into existence in you. And isn't it amazing? You go to sleep and a different world comes into existence in you. Are you? You go on a train of thought and a fantasy about the future, vacation or retirement or whatever it is. Another world comes into existence in you. You, the consciousness, always here. You, the consciousness, as a little child, always here. The memory, the trauma, always here.
Right now, here. Last night dream, fantasy, fear. The common denominator, the presence of consciousness, is here. The presence of consciousness within which all that incredible, ever fresh, ever new, never the same, never two moments the same. And we have someone else joining us. Now welcome, Anand. So, this is the call for celebration. Recognition first, then the psychological suffering goes down because it is pretty amazing. It's very, very simple. It's nothing new. It's nothing that you need to add. You're rediscovering what you were born with. You know the little baby already before it even emerges out from the womb is that consciousness hearing the noises of the mother's digestive system.
And then learning to use other senses of the car. Learning to drive it, throwing the arms and legs and learning to interpret the images upside down and then learning the language or two or three languages learning the social skills learning to operate that body mind machine within the dream within the consciousness that was always prior the consciousness prior even emerging out of the womb and the way we use the word consciousness again this is the limitation here because it isn't the right word there is no appropriate description or word for that which we are pointing because it isn't even it it isn't your consciousness i am conscious this is a me being conscious no or awareness awareness awareness which is unconscious awareness which is that pure potentiality within which the movement creates the planets and the galaxies and the solar systems and uh and the cells in the mid mitochondria's and the sperm and ovum and then grows the body without having any concept whatsoever of being conscious of being a doer or any of it just the pure unfolding and suddenly having that vessel having that car or that coat or that costume being normal only with the consciousness which is the only force able to see and hear and taste and touch and smell and dream and imagine and imagine being limited person and imagine having this past or that future wow seeing how it all comes into existence and seeing that right at this moment you know all that don't you obviously you know this world arising right here this moment never been the same again you are present if there is anyone who has any objections to to what i said up until now welcome please it's very very simple very obvious it's nothing that one could argue with and of course you can argue words the word awareness the word consciousness the word god the word omnipresence the word i am all the words are limited and none of them actually really represent that aliveness present that presence how could you even describe it is beyond qualities so you can't really describe it like how would you describe the the taste of a fruit to someone who never ate it can't even do it it's a pure subjectivity and yet it's undeniable even to deny it you would have to be here to deny it and we have someone else coming here okay so welcome all the zoomers and for those who didn't actually hear me say it at the start we're just doing a little introduction and if you want to interrupt at any point raise your hand up or unmute and speak and and direct us or ask questions or argue or give us your version uh yeah no one's most welcome ah yeah we have we we may i'll i'll just check if we have any any comments on people who are watching quiver's life because it's a big hybrid of what we're doing here so uh i don't see the comments just yet no i just okay so anyone anyone of course Yes, grab the, yeah.
So I guess just free associate a bit. Please. So some fear in the body-mind system. And there's a cartoon of a guy falling into a bottomless pit. And the first panel is like his face is contorted in terror. And then there's another panel three days later where he's kind of lying on his back and he's chilled and he's just floating because the pit is bottomless. So I guess is that fear of with no orientation point where all of the fictitious constructs are not there, then it's terrifying. Yes. So I don't know if I'm more towards the first panel than the third. Even though there's no bottom to hit and nothing to hit.
That's the one thing. Yes. I think, I don't know if you want to respond to it, but I have something else. There's just with the unrepeatable uniqueness of each moment like a snowflake. I understand the next moment is just as beautiful and just as unrepeatable. But there's that hunger and the sadness and the wanting to cling to the beauty of that moment and not have it ripped away. And so a lot of sadness that the beauty of that moment. And so, you know, I guess, how do you navigate that? Because I have a lot of sadness with partings. And, you know, if you beautiful moments with Bob that you had, how do you relate to them and not cling to them and be open to what is coming?
Or what's now and not mythologize that? Yeah, that's, I guess what I'd like to hear to hopefully reduce my own suffering. Beautiful, beautiful. Both of those things, fear and sadness were clear expressions of love of being. Isn't it clear? Clear. Would you be afraid if you didn't give a shit whether you're alive or dead? Obviously not. You know, like going in this uncharted ground and the mind is trying to protect and it's just, I want to stay alive. I don't know what's going on. Clearly love of being, wanting safety. What's not loving about preference for safety? So if you take the label off the idea of fear and you actually stay in that moment of fear, of terror, yes.
Oh my God, I just love safety and it's not there. Would even that is an idea. And now strip that one off as well. And just see if you can actually experience this moment without the commentary of the mind that always wants protection, always wants to step in and do its function, its role, survival. But if you can spark enough of the curiosity in your own heart to see what it really is without the navigational system, see what you're going to find in the moment of the darkest night of the soul or terror. If you strip off that label and you surrender to it. Completely.
Let it like, let it kill you. Okay. I'm ready to die of it now. And I'm going to die of fear. Bob would say, you know, if you have a panic attack, imagine the button and you amplify it to the point that you faint. That's the worst that can happen. You faint. So what a big deal, fainting. And I heard over the years, quite a few people here who actually found the gut, followed that instruction and they say it was all bluff. Basically, a mind was blephic. Oh, you're going to die. Oh, bleph. And you call the bleph and you end in that surrender of just love of being.
So that's sadness is the same thing as you could probably guess because such it ananda being, knowing, loving to be. It's all the same thing. It's not five things, 10 things, 20 things. It's the mind that differentiate. Oh, this frequency we call fear. This frequency we call shame. This frequency we call sadness. Or this vibration we call this. You know, mind giving labels, labels and mapping the whole reality with 10,000 colors, shades and stuff. But the raw energy is just the same love of being. It's just the same benevolence. Wanting, wanting to be loving and safe and just, you know, that primordial cause of that pure potentiality, that emptiness to appear as form for knowing of existence and loving to be and expressing that.
So can you see the beauty in sadness? Can you see the beauty in? Because without sadness, you wouldn't know joy. And sadness is clearly another side of the same coin, the appreciation of love. Again, can you even strip the label sadness off and be present to the raw sensation, the raw vulnerability? Strip the label vulnerability also and just, again, die into it. Into this moment. Defenseless, completely defenseless. The worst that can happen, you can faint. You can allow yourself. It's tempting. Yeah, yeah, just allow yourself faint for half a minute. You know, it's just so what? You know, just a little nap. Nothing more can happen.
You're not going to die of heart rupture or anything like that. Just, yeah, that's the invitation. And also, you know, the invitation is a little bit paradoxical because what the main, the main predicament here is that there is no doer and there is no one. There's no little Ismail that can do, that can follow the instruction and do what is told. None of that is true. And yet, the same life essence expressing through this or expressing through Bob saying full stop, pause, is the energy, the same one energy inspiring, inviting, the music. You can tune in. And your body will respond. Your instrument, like he would say, you know, you put a guitar in one corner of the room and you push the strings or punch them.
And the guitar in another part of the room may actually respond. That's the resonation. Still not do worship. There is still not me speaking and you following instructions. But it may happen that somehow that idea, hmm, okay. I'm actually curious enough. And see where it takes me. Just really see where it takes you. And it delivers. It's like if you don't see where it takes you, you just gonna, it's not so bad where you are. It's okay. But if there is a longing, if there is a calling for the depth, well, maybe you'll answer that call. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. We have couple of hands. Oh, I'm sorry, guys. So we have, who was first? Did you see? Anne was first. Anne was first. Anne, would you like to unmute? Yes, I think. I think I'm okay now. I just wanted to ask about an experience I had the other day. And there was an arising of bliss. But then I think I'm okay now. there was something within the experience of bliss that, that contained some fresh experience of space and breath. And I just was wondering if you could talk about, um, the place of breath in the experience of now, you know, uh, and yeah, that's it.
Yeah. What a beautiful reminder and breath. What a wonderful invitation also as, as, as you've noticed. Yes. Anything that is immediate is straight away, anchoring you back to this moment. You can't breathe yesterday. You can't breathe tomorrow. So bringing the attention gently out from the imagination of past and future and other times and other places and other people and of everything that is not happening right now, bringing that attention gently back to this current breath, the amount of freedom that comes with that, the attention that is released from that imagination, from the grip of imagination, just through gentle, simple breath, Bob would have that pointer.
Let the thought right on the breath. He would say, you know, when you breathe in, we call it, inspire, sometimes, and then the thought inspiration comes, it may hunk. It may linger, or it may be just exhaled, expired. This is a lovely way to actually just bring yourself, yourself. As if you are attention, you are always here. You are always here, but the attention bring it back home to this moment. That's it. That's a beautiful reminder. The same thing happens if you just, you know, like bring the attention to the background sounds or sensations in the body. You know, you feel your feet, you know, or anything that is happening presently that releases because habitually we have most of the attention locked up in the imagination.
And what Ismail was saying, you know, the imagination of falling and having no ground or sadness about what was, you know, the two years ago Bob was here, thinking about that which is not happening right now and having emotional response to the imagination because it is not happening right now, is basically trading the unborn Buddha mind, the miracle of this moment for the mind, for the mind, for the thought. And it's a habit. No one is given. Nobody is guilty of it. It's a habit that might have been practiced for decades. But the habit can be broken through recognition. And a breath is a lovely, lovely reminder.
Thank you for that. And I think we're going to give word to Laird. Yes, thank you. Thank you so very much, Kat. So I have been able to follow up to being able to eliminate this. The concept of I and me and the rest of those pronouns. But, but, and I want to be able to myself be able to eliminate it in all these situations. And I struggle with, for example, I'm trying to simplify this two situations. One, I'm sitting in a movie and just directing my focus to what's happening out there. And the other situation, I'm trying to simplify this two situations. And I struggle with, for example, I'm sitting in a movie and just directing my focus to what's happening out there.
And the other situation, where I have two hours to, and I need to do something. And I am mentally planning step by step. And sometimes it all goes my way. And at the end of the two hours, I can write a piece of paper what I did from the beginning to the end. And so that second situation where I'm inputting my intention, and doership and all these things, it makes it difficult for me. Not difficult. It's just, I want to be able to see through all that and eliminate the I. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, wonderful. What a brilliant question. And it's so applicable. And it's so relatable.
Recognizing that you are being lived, that you are being thought. And this is again one of the most elegant practical pointers that Bob would hammer down to people. Do you know what's your next thought is going to be? Do you know what you're going to think next? Wait and see. Oh, you didn't even know I'm going to ask that question, did you? So how could you even know that you're going to be even thinking about what's your next thought going to be? You couldn't even know that. It depends on technology. It depends on 10,000 things. So you don't really think your thoughts. Your thoughts are arising in response to completely unpredictable 10,000 things dancing together as one.
Now you're planning your activity for the next two hours. Hmm, really? Can you actually see that you are not doing any of it? The next thought. The next thought, which you don't know what it's going to be. And the next thought, which you don't know what it's going to be. Every single thought is the whole world, is the whole dream dancing together. And this bio computer calculating the outcome and woof, there it is. Wow. Discovered in consciousness. You are the open space of consciousness, limitless, personless, timeless. And woo, there is a thought, I am going to do this. And this thought, because it says, I am going to do this, straight away suck up all the attention.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm that person in the thought. But are you really? You are still the consciousness registering the thought arising. The thought has arisen in consciousness and has been registered. Now the next thought. Oh, no, I don't want to do it. I hate doing it. That's registered also. And then, oh, shit, what if things don't go my way? I need the plan B. That's registered too. You can see how the way you not do the seeing, you're not doing it. You can't do it. You can't keep your eyes open and stop seeing. This is a function of the machine. It does itself. Thinking is the same.
This is the cat. This is the cat. Thinking is the same. When you look again, you look at the animals, so you look at the birds. They are moved by life. And they still do everything that is required to be done. Birds will find mates, will start nesting, and then will bring the youngs and will hunt or will avoid being hunted. All of that is part of the functioning. And life moves them. Life is beating your heart. Life is thinking your body, mind, machine. Life is that energy, is that electricity, which is moving through the system and translated by that incredible bio computer into the field of seeing.
This is life. Now, translated to seeing. Because every expression is unique. You know? You are seeing. And you're looking. And your partner is seeing and is looking. And different things caught the attention. You know? Like I used to have it yesterday. Dean and I were driving and looking at things around. And I've noticed a beautiful, sparkly, gorgeous shoes of his niece. While he noticed, well, what is the name of that part of the car? The wheels. The wheels. The mags. It's aluminum. It's a piece of a thingy of wheels. Looking at the same environment. Picking up different things. That's, you know, that's the conditioned response.
That's how the infinite omnipresence can see the 10,000 dreams through 10,000 cameras. You know? Like in your shopping mall, you have 10,000 cameras. Everyone a little different angle. I see the shiny shoes. He sees the wheels. Someone else sees the colors. The skies. The flowers. The interactions. Amazing. And you are that consciousness looking through this particular machine. So, the looking is already limited to this machine. As the looker, the seer, you are associated and limited to the body. But as the consciousness, you're not. Yeah. And it's a lovely question. And see how applicable it is. In absolutely everything in life. Like, again, you're not beating your heart.
You're not breathing your lungs. You can breathe faster only if you have a thought to breathe faster. And you can't have a thought to breathe faster until environment somehow inspires that thought. So, where is any space for the me, for the I, the doer, to choose to breathe faster or not to breathe faster? Or to do the plan of gardening or whatever the plan is required or to have plan B? Where is any space for any me to have any saying if I don't know my next thought? So, I'm always that open field of registering. And the fun thing is, you know, and Ismael was asking, does sadness come up?
Absolutely. Welcome. Don't have to even label it sadness. It's delicious. It's just another costume of love. Grieve. Yay. I'm actually grieving a friend, not Bob predicted that, you know, because he was always all providing space. And he never stopped being all providing space. But the sense of connection never really faded. So, but yeah, they were people in my life who came for a flush and disappeared. And the mind kicks a sink. Oh, maybe they shouldn't have gone. Or mind kicks a stink. Or maybe it shouldn't be a winter. Or you have a cold shower and the mind kicks a stink. Oh, no, no, this is too hard.
But when you see this is the conditioned machine responding as it has been conditioned, it's not you. It's not personal. Wow. Amazing. You don't even mind the mind. And that's when the freedom comes. Because there is often this misconception, especially non-duality or other spiritual circles, that I should never feel angry again. I should never judge. I should never crave chocolate. Would I? Would I? If there is no I there, but the program of judgment is running, and you realize that there never was an I, and the program of judging was running, how come it could disappear overnight? It makes no sense. But now this program isn't me anymore.
It's me. I'm not going to be myself up for that commentary to arise. The commentary is discovered just as much as the mood is discovered, as the weather is discovered. Anything that shows up on the screen of awareness is, wow, okay. There is no objection to that which arises. There is no objection to pain. There is no objection to anger. There is no objection to anger. There is no objection to anger. Here's another image for you. I'm not speaking, and this does not fill the glass. It does not say anything beyond that. Too much anger. Too much fear. Where does the fear surge up? There is a lot of fear.
Too much footing, too much burning. Too much restlessness. Too much unhappiness. Too much denial. Too much novellification. Too much judgment. Too much despondency. Too much sadness. Too much fear. Too much amnesia. Too much fear. I have had such a죠 as a real læzio事. but is there and wow that's cool it doesn't cause suffering the same thing that used to cause suffering now it causes amazement being just openness being curiosity and joe always reminds me that you know the most beautiful uh way of and this is and this is a great wisdom of of the of of life uh of exploration is to sit with the discomfort a little bit longer than you can because the mind will really seriously have to surrender what an invitation joe would you like to add to it no not today okay and any one of you guys tony we we didn't hear you or anyone yeah question oh please yeah um yeah elijah was asking and what you touched on i think about about turning that you gave the example of turning up the um notch on the panic and i feel like when i'm feeling intense emotions and i try to soften the attention and just feel the raw data um it sometimes just leaves but not in a nice way um it doesn't feel um um like sometimes comparing it to like needing to sneeze but not um and i'm not sure if that's um it doesn't it doesn't feel like i've felt the emotion it just it just goes away and i'm not sure if that's some kind of suppression or pushing away but my intention is just to feel it through and um and there has been times in meditation where it's the complete opposite where she spontaneously i've started crying the body just is needing to go through these emotions but most of the time i'll die and it's the same same emotion i used to on the moon both itself and the penicillin also can do the same thing and you know for this point um so even if you did a burn in between and you didn't feel my always ask a question without thinking about it straight after she start reading in my mind um that's just too absurd- i really don't like sending her short comments or comments like that yeah yeah it is actually it is a quite beautiful and vulnerable topic and thank you for sharing it it's you know that the strategies of uh suppressing expressing denying all those ways of dealing with emotions are strategies that the machine has unconsciously devised you know some i'm sorry there are situations in life when expressing emotions is just impossible you can't you know scream throat tantrum cry in public when you are an adult or you know and also suppression it kind of it will find another outlet it will go unhealthy it will go cancerous suppression expression and denial doesn't really work acknowledgement in the awareness curiosity around the emotion and again if those strategies have been put in place they obviously survival strategies there mightn't be a safe place to live through and experience the emotion fully especially if you don't really have like you know growing up don't really have a safe environment or even uh coping mechanisms that would allow you to do that so the mind is always doing the best it can to survive but today as as you are actually attracted to that deep investigation finding a space in which you are genuinely curious about every emotion but not the story around it which can still be traumatizing but the raw raw emotion like raw vibration raw echo of that emotion in the system like what does it do to your breathing what does it do to the heart rate where is it showing up as a block or tension just genuine curiosity and again watching the mind responding to it also the suppression expression denial beautiful what an incredible study of the of the mind and again this is one of bob's pointers which can't be overestimated how much of the learning and insights one gets through watching the mind learning your own machine how it deals with the unpredictability how your own navigational system navigates but again acknowledging those strategies recognizing those are protective strategies there is no negative intent in anything that this machine The machine is a survival tool.
It does not have negative intentions. It feels counterintuitive when you have that horrible judgmental voice, I hate you, you are useless, you're good for nothing, you're stupid, you're this. It doesn't sound like it is a survival mechanism. But again, the whole machine learns through imitation. It just doesn't have a better role model to find a way to motivate itself to move ahead. It's an unfortunate sort of a learning curve. It's not against. But yes, yes, there are situations when people do, and animals apparently also take their own lives. And that's also love of being. If the being got no quality whatsoever, the most loving thing may be to just end it.
And of course, if you again ever find yourself in a situation where you find yourself in that place, ask yourself, is that really the most loving thing? Or perhaps lifting that self-hatred or seeing through that negative voice or changing circumstances would be a better option. Because the love of being is always there. And most of the, there was a research on the suicide line when people were asked, you know, if your problems were solved, would you still want to die? Oh, no, of course not. Loving to be is, loving to be is the original cause of existence. Self-evident, love of being, appreciation, love, beauty. But yeah, it's just, I don't know.
Anyone else wants to comment on that one? This is such a beautiful, big topic. The, you know, watching the mind and seeing the strategies in which it copes. You, come on, you have so much experience in different modalities. No, not really. Yeah, please. Like, I think, you know, here we are, like it appears that we're in this room and we're discussing different things. And you're going to walk out and walk away and watch, like, the circumstances. And the things that come into the attention. And, you know, all of a sudden, a pattern or a behaviour or something that you're seeing in this particular angle will just shift on its head.
And it's not you doing it. It's not, there's no wise words coming out of here or there or anywhere. But, like, the whole of creation, the whole of consciousness will change and the little details will make something that we're seeing that was hidden appear. Something that was appearing hidden. And shift the whole view, the whole perspective. You know, Kat spoke a lot at the start about and gave an example of, like, a camera. And this is one particular lens or one particular camera. And there's billions of cameras. And, like, wow, like, if the camera is made of wire, if this bio-camera, like, bio-computer camera of a body is made of circuits and biology and, like, you can alter it, like, alter a chemical by tweaking it by this way.
Not that you're tweaking it. Like, something in the food that you eat has tweaked the chemical, which has changed the scene like this, which has altered this, which has altered the next thought, which has altered the whole show is, you know, when people say this is one essence, patterning, shaping, forming, it's not like, it's not a theory. It's not a, it's not, it's wow. When the concepts actually drop, actually, that's what appears. I'm not saying it's the truth. I have no idea what the truth is. There is no truth. But in that, you know, wow, then you start, you know, everything, the wow-ness starts to come in, the marvelling of existence itself and not worrying about taking care of any part of it because it's all actually been done.
And it's always been done and it will never not be done. So they will be done is, you know, is really like in the seeing, like the seeing is that they will be done and everything is being done. And that in itself like just breaks and dismantles old patterns, old habits. I mean, I think it was Emmanuel, wasn't it? Like, yeah, at the start you talked about falling into a bottomless pit, you know, and looking for a point of reference that is now becoming like obscured. Like is there really a reference point anyway? And falling into not knowing and like, you know, you walk out of the room and all of a sudden you find comfortability in not knowing.
Like, oh, actually, being, you know, I'm not suggesting or saying or foretelling, but like it will change, the whole view and the whole concept and the whole dilemma that was once there. I think you also mentioned about the moment, you know, like holding the moment and trying to, you know, make the next moment something or holding onto the previous moment that was good or bad. You know, another brilliance about all this is there is only one moment. There's only ever been one moment and in that moment there is no other moment. Like this is the moment and it's always been this and it can't ever be anything other than this.
And the thisness is really simple. You know? It's like absolutely simplicity. It's always this. It's always now. And everything is appearing in the immediacy and it always has. And so but back to that like that camera, that computer, that thing that's seeing can be altered in so ways so the whole what is being seen is in constant flux, in constant change, not just because of the system can change, but like there's infinite factors. The whole of creation, the whole Maya, the whole illusion, the whole dream is nothing appearing as something that is in constant change. And, you know, like I think there's something like magnificent in realising that.
There is then there's absolutely there's no point. There is nothing that you can pinpoint. There's no one to pinpoint. There is no like Laird was saying, like the eye that was planning, the idea of an eye that is planning, is part of the same appearance, part of the same show. There is no eye. There is no self as such who's got some volition and will and choice. That idea of a self appears in the dreamlike appearance of everything. It appears in the same place where constellations appear, where universes appear, where time and space. But it's all immediate. It's all absolutely now. And in that realms, ideas, thoughts, beliefs, beliefs in the me, beliefs in a perspective, a view, a point of view from, all seem to appear.
But none of them hold any more ground. Like none of them can be the truth. None of them can be reality. Yet they are all part of the beauty of the show, the kaleidoscope of the universe that's appearing. And that ground in which that is viewed on is like, wow, there's aliveness. I don't know why. I don't know what it is. I know there's infinite arrays, infinite displays of this kaleidoscope in endless forms and expressions and colors and ideas and beliefs. And it includes every psychology, every religion. It includes the big bang. It includes the Buddhas. It includes the teachings, the pointers. Like there is no pointer.
Like I look at the pointers, you know, and the pointers like dissolve. Like the best pointers in the world dissolve. Or there's an idea that a dean once got a pointer. And that idea collapses. And, you know, like there is no final destination. There is no place in which or a position or an ultimate viewpoint or an ultimate idea of reality or an ultimate idea of realization or enlightenment or getting some final place of truth or, ah, now I've got it. Now I can rest in this uncomfortable feeling of being. No, there is nothing like that at all. But it's just but there's an immediate aliveness which is absolutely and so that's good news.
And it's bad news too because but the good news is that there's nothing that anyone needs to do. And you've heard that before. And it really there really isn't anyone. There is nothing that can be done. But everything has been done. At the same time. The dream appears to be in constant doing mode. But there is no doer. The divine doing. The divine Maya, the Leela. Yeah, the illusion appearing as something solid and real and making it substantially, you know, whoa, this is a struggle that we need to get out of or whatever. But there never was. What was the question? I don't know what we started with.
No, this was this was delightful. Yes. Yeah, I'm checking that. Yeah, we have quite a few people watching with us, but there are no questions. So if anyone on Facebook live would like to hop on Zoom and ask question verbally, that would be lovely. If not, you can also type and let you go there. And would you like to unmute? Okay. Yes. So for me, just to bring it on home, my homework. Is that when I enjoy use and I'm a little shy because I know I can always be more accurate in articulating this, but I'm sure you'll know what I'm trying to say. So, you know, during, you know, so I see maybe.
It's in some way. Theoretically, it's not even important to use my mind. Mm hmm. Ultimately. But if I if I catch myself off guard and like, I use my mind all day long, maybe my homework is to sometimes pause and and realize. and observe directly that whatever I'm think I'm thinking is really just a thought coming up and it's not me yeah okay yeah beautiful this is a difficult one you well done this is a difficult one to express because you know when you say I'm gonna watch that I am using my mind but hello there's no one they're using mine so maybe I'll watch then how the mind is using me or you can't express it properly but you jump right into the appropriate sort of very very relatable expression I just stop just pause just pause and see that no one is doing anything no one is doing anything the thoughts just arises the minds just being utilized to heart is just beating the seeing just happening you everything the whole universe runs by itself the sun is just shining no one leads the sun no one moves the planet around it no one circulates the blood in your system no one fires the synapses in your brain no one is moving the limbs to grab things to drink a tea wow yeah what a mystery what an incredible mystery and all goes on smoothly everything is registered in that consciousness yeah this is amazing and what Dean was saying you know you can see the whole kaleidoscope flying and moving and changing in the dreams and the fantasies and the thoughts and here and there one at the time only now so the now is the time to actually Marvel at the whole display happening of its own by itself without any doing 15.8Ingredients 6僕degree愛上 холод我全世界都在附體圖片光合成自動展bankattheareUSF equipments ЗаDataBl multiplanter narrative.
Oh shit. I shouldn't have done it. I made a mistake. Oh shit. I need to apologize. That is also happening. That's the part of the whole shebang. And what's really beautiful is that the, you know, the it's like a shift in attention, attention that was once focused on a narrative, um, listening to the thoughts in, in, in, in the head that was saying, you know, it's this way, it's that way. It should be this way. It could be that way. It would be better if this way I'm this kind of person, I'm that kind of person. He's that way. He's good. She's bad. This is right.
This is wrong. All that kind of, um, self referential narrative that is sort of, um, taught and, um, learned and sort of conditioned or whatever. Look, oh, oh, the cat can explain all that, how it formulates, um, and, and how it sort of concrete ties as itself. It solidifies, it seems to solidify the good news is that, you know, perhaps coming to these groups and listening, listening to this message and, and whatever it is, seems to, um, free up the attention that was once focused on all these kinds of, uh, ideas, thoughts, beliefs, structures, all self referential, self-identified, um, kind of ideas, um, and freeze it up.
And in that freedom, the attention that was once so laser focused on that has now ability to relax and, and take in the whole of, of existence, the whole, not, not existences in the details of existence because, but that, that can happen too, but more marvelling in the fact that aliveness is actually happening in itself. There's an aliveness in which everything is allowed to appear. Everything has the ability to appear because there's a liveness itself. Um, and, and the attention can sort of Marvel and focus on, on that existence. Um, you know, you call it consciousness, I mean, you call it, um, aliveness, call it, call it now, call it presence, call it, um, Sat Chit Ananda.
Sat Chit Ananda. Exactly. Um, but you know, you could call it this, uh, it's really simple too. And, and freeing up the attention from our, our narrative, um, into existence itself is, is, yeah, is worth, mm-hmm, is worth every bit. Mm-hmm. Every bit of it and not, it's so well, it's absolutely just nothing really. Is it? It's like, it's not, it's not, I'm not, I've made, almost made it sound special. There's nothing special. And it's absolutely miraculous. Yeah. Yeah. It could have been nothing and look at this. Yeah. Then we didn't hear you for a while. You have incredible insights. I won't say much. Um, yeah.
So, um, I guess we just, we can't describe this. Um, so I guess all we can do is, uh, dissolve into it. Um, any word that we put on anything is borrowed from the past. So, if we look at anything, it's from the past, um, from we've either learnt it or picked it up along the way. Um, and the same with a fort, um, we just mistaken the word for the actual thing. Um, and that's where we create our divisions and we start dividing reality from what it, it actually is. Um, so if we just relax and dissolve into the fact that we've picked up all of this stuff, um, either from our parents or, well, it started there probably when, as Bob used to say when we're about two or along that time.
Um, and if we just forget what we've picked up, um, and that's, um, we're left with that and that's all there is. Um, and we just relax and enjoy the ride because that's all we can really do. Um, yeah, that's it. Beautiful. And just now, only now it's only there is really only now I had a line of coincidences lately, um, happening one after another in regards to, um, the fact that we're not, we're not in the same place. Um, in regards to this book that I published actually as a plan B when, um, we had an anniversary of Bob's, uh, funeral and we decided to do a sea funeral and, and go in a group of people and cast the ashes to the sea as the real sailor should the sea funeral for a sailor.
And I had the biography of his life already, already written, but my editors, my proofreaders, uh, the three brilliant ladies that were looking through it, uh, we're actually just really, really doing it very thoroughly and very, very slowly and it wasn't going to make it on time. So that was plan B plan B. I was requested by a few people over the years, emails about the, uh, the book that Bob written by himself beyond words, beyond mind. Why is it, why isn't it available digitally? I say, well, I have 300 copies of books at home. I can't actually, uh, make a Kindle that will have 20 pages.
I just really want to sell the books that I paid for and I, and I have published. Uh, then there was another version suddenly presented itself, uh, which Bob absolutely loved in collaboration with Andrew, uh, who received the manuscript and downloaded really another sort of, an hour of writing in completely Bob style and Bob read it and said, wow, you seriously channeled me, Andrew. So that version also has landed in this book. Uh, another one in the last minute, just before publishing, uh, uh, someone from Sweden actually tried to obtain the manuscript of, of one of the meetings that were transcribed, uh, of Bob's commentary on the sense in me.
She couldn't get it. So she, uh, transcribed it herself that landed in the book. And at the, at the bottom of the book, I actually wrote, there is also unpublished part of that. I found in Bob's notes, on, on words and awareness. And it's just really, it's pretty very intelligence versus thought. I think I might have read fragments, but the line of coincidence that brought me to the book, uh, also contains the funny joke about the 42. You know, if you want to come here by tram is 42. Bob never read hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, but I told him often enough. And so did the callers from around the world who were trying to find him here.
The 42 was the answer to life and the universe. So if you really want to answer the 42, the truth, truth, and then he said, true, that's the truth. Yeah. Or what was the question? Yeah. The thing is, it's unknowable. So 42 is as good answer as any. So I wrote the chapter 42, the chapter 42 being, um, yeah, being 21 key concepts of Bob's teachings and 21 metaphors. And that's why I wanted to just read the first one. It's okay. I can hold it. I can read just the first one is on a little graphic of, of the two sailors because we were actually laughing at those ideas together.
So the first, the first, and it deserved the point one, number one concept, the full stop, full stop. And I think you learned, you said it, you know, the pause just stop and the most beautiful pointer, you know, what's wrong with right now, if I don't think about it, wait, wait, wait, let me see. Let me see. What's wrong with right now. You got to stop and see. So the full stop and the key concept says here, the only way out of the mind is a full stop in a single instant of passing thought. You do not fall apart or these appear. And this is often what Bob would actually suggest to people.
Have a look right now. What is wrong? If you don't think, and then as the, hopefully everyone pauses and verify that the mind will come up with problems, but Hey, without the thought, the mind will still try to rush with problems, but Hey, stop it without the thought. Shit. Wow. Nothing wrong. Nothing wrong. Then the next question Bob would say, did you fall apart? Did you disappear? Was the existence still there? Wow. I'm not a small thing. You're not defined by your mind. You're not defined by your problems. The full stop can reveal so much and it's available. Every moment is available right now. So I'll read it again.
The full stop. The only way out of the mind is full stop. You can't find the answer. You can't find the answer in the mind. You have to stop in a single instant of pausing thought. You do not fall apart or disappear. Life goes on as it does. It reveals the naked non-conceptual awareness that is the base for every movement. You are even when the mind is not. The stop. Pause. Pause right now. Then you disappear. I think one point there is not, but I could, I could keep reading. They actually quite all of them. They point to that, which is clear and known intuitively already.
And it can be verified very simply, very easily. And we can chat about silence and we can point to. Stop pointing. That's that's the mystery. That's the joy. That's the fun. We often have and it comes back on the meetings. We also have zoom meetings in the evenings. For you guys in America is a little bit difficult. It's like very, very early morning. Not everyone is willing to get up that early. But if you ever move to your most welcome, but if not, you know, you can always see us there on Facebook live. And we can talk about it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that's why I put space for 30 days and then it goes disappears. Well, let's make a site. What was the trainer told me anyway? Yeah, I know. It often comes up. You know those all those spiritual jargon swear. Well people say, oh if you really get it, then you want seek anymore that you don't need to come to any meetings or Zooms. So you don't need to read books or you don't need. to watch the YouTubes and look and seeking stops. Absolutely right. But does the celebration of life stops? No, it actually starts. Seriously. So those Zoom meetings that we have, it's quite a lot of people that are coming who are not seeking anything, but they actually sharing that joy.
And that's why Bob loved those groups so much. I mean, even when he was taking his last breaths, he wanted that Zoom meetings casted on the TV there so he could actually watch and listen to people sharing their own clarity. Because whether you know it or not, you hear, you already have the final truth, completely, completely matured and all pervasive. And I think that's the thing that is really important for us to understand, that we are not in the system. It's nothing that you need to find or achieve or develop. It's nothing to seek really. It's just the idea in the mind, the idea that I am this separate little person that is not good enough.
And that separate little person will have to strive. So in a future time, it will become a better person. Pleasure. All dream, all thought appearing right now, registered in consciousness, that dream of being a person, achieving supreme state in the future is a thought registered right now. And you are that right now, registering that dream. Relaxing the belief of being that alleged person, having the alleged future. It sometimes helps to actually look, is there a future? Really? Have anyone ever experienced the future? Where is it? If you don't imagine it, well, if you don't think about it, where is it? Does it actually have location?
Does it really exist? Same with past. You know, oh, my childhood trauma, you know, I was born, I had abandonment issues. Yeah, where is it? Where? It's just a mental projection image in the mind. And it's only there when it's thought on. When that thought doesn't arise, where is it? Is there a past? Is there a future? Really? Really? Because non-duality is about the direct knowing, is about an honest and rigorous investigation of that what is. Right now. Not of that which is imagined. And the future and the past is imagined. And the me achieving supreme state in the future is also imagined. And this is what Bob was saying, you know, the trading unborn Buddha mind of this mysteriousness of presence for the thought, for that imagined me achieving something in the imagined future.
And they're there. They're just there. They're there. And the true me is the one who can understand the true me. And the ultimate me. So the ultimate me, that's the ultimate, is that God. No matter what they say, that's the ultimate me. That's the ultimate me. That's the divine me. That's my ultimate me. I'm not going to find that place of eternal orgasm. Like one constant, like blissful, He's saying it's a false. He is saying it's not true. Yeah. Keep looking. Keep looking. Good luck. I mean, you know, I, seriously, I met people. people who would wake up and torture their bodies every day at midnight doing 500 prostrations and sitting in meditations for hours they were older than me wasted all those decades oh you know the heart breaks with compassion but only if you think they're separate because they are also you know the whole world appears in you in your dream people who are looking and never finding anything that they are looking they are no one there either this is also just life the same life expressing as a seeker i had that conversation with my dear dear friend who is my mom why isn't she ready to drop that stupid ridiculous search it's a torture you she says not for me i love it i love putting on all those different concepts and ideas and maps of reality you know the trans surfing this conspiracy that love it it's just that's a thrill it's a joy i hope i'll never stop seeking okay wonderful okay so i'll just keep asking you what did you discover what's the newest conspiracy and we all gonna have fun this was my drama in this life story that the seeking was the constant heart breakingness and longing for the truth which i could feel that is there but i couldn't see it because i was looking through that avatar persona the me the limited the poor the miserable the sheep the unworthy not realizing that that mental image that that concept haven't always been there it has developed i wasn't born with that concept and even that concept was completely like unstable on a good days i wasn't poor and miserable i was quite all right on the terrible days oh i was much much worse so that concept yes okay we're just checking the oh look at this beautiful okay and i'm sorry for the cut there here on the screen oh my goodness yeah isn't it amazing i'm going to show you guys here we have the cats just yeah we have couple of cats here roaming around too but this one's so beautiful and i wonder if any one of you guys who is with us here and we still have few people and and david george Heyman Julian and we still have a few people Anand and David George Simon Julian uh would you like to share this and write it down in the comment section if you would be interested?
Would you like to say something, add something, ask something, comment maybe, contribute something, anything? It's just an invitation, it's not a push. But we still don't have anyone saying a word on Facebook Live, which is good. But it is good. A couple of final words. I can't wait. Please. It's a bit of when Dean was talking. I had like this picture, like imagination or image or whatever, that it's like sometimes it feels like we're swimming against the current instead of floating. And that that's really what it's like. It's like we're resisting what's, we're resisting life. And the way it's moving instead of floating and letting it carry us.
And when Dean was speaking, I could feel that coming through. That that's, yeah. It's absurd, isn't it? It's like absolutely crazy. Imagine resisting what is. Like when what is, is all there is. Like it's undeniable, undisputable. You can't say it isn't. And you can't. And then. It's like more, you know what? I think it could be better. I think, I think we could alter it. I think we can make it a little bit. I think if that bird sang from that branch, the sound would sound better than, and if the sunrise came from there and if, and if, and actually, no, if you, if you're like, if your eyes were a little bit different color, you'd be whatever, like it just endless, endless, you know, everything is a dispute.
Every mind, every belief in a, in a thought of. An idea about me and the world is, is a dispute about what is in that way. When it's self self-referential, like thoughts about descriptions or descriptions, but imagine dispute, imagine living a life, which is what the whole, the whole show is about really, isn't it? Like being caught up in, in arguing with what actually appears the same world. It's, you know, yes. Yes. The examples you gave the bird in the tree, the colors of the eyes. Yes. Those are easy to go with. Yes. But witnessing the violent destruction of name and form. Yes. It's much easier to get tangled up, even if the witnessing and the destruction are all one thing and all part of the same thing, but much harder to, to open up to.
Yeah. Yeah. You do. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And that, that wanting to rearrange or resist. Yes. The yeah. So yes. But the particular forms, right. You don't mind destruction of bacteria when you get sick, when you get, you know, a long. Yeah, there is the, of course there's the arbitrariness about it and, and more forms that identify with, and I don't do the fickleness of the care. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Good to know. Isn't it? Yeah. But so then where can that take you in terms of. Yeah. Watching your mind. That's exactly right. Yes. Where can it take you? Because it's endless and, and the mind will continue to change and adjust and, and, and, and actually the only place it actually takes you is that there's no actual conclusion that can be drawn from, from any assumption, any, any, any mind based thing.
So then, then you're left back with what the is-ness again. And there's no arguing with it anymore. Because the mind has, it's almost like it, it, it, it wears itself out in, in computations and solutions and permutations and, and always trying to improve and better. And then it's just, wow. It's like it's fruitless exercise, like any energy that seemed to sustain it doesn't feed it anymore. I mean, that's, that's just an ex that's not the truth either. That's just the way of speaking about things. Yeah. That's, that's. That's perfect. Actually really see how it is endless. If you want to engage with the mind, good luck.
Step down, move back, relaxed, relaxed, and watch the craze, the absolute roller coaster of that being right and having preferences. And this mosquitoes are okay to die, but you know, the bees are not okay to die. And this, uh, and it's just divisions forever. Until you get. It's really sick in the stomach. Oh yeah. Okay. Shut up. Full stop now. Hey. And a full stop is the bliss of being is always here. It's never far away. That veil of yapping, chatting, constantly complaining and comparing and dividing and segregating. I agree with this. I pick right, right, right, right, right. Yeah. What was it? But to make that sound again, I repeat it.
I think we, I think, I think that's it. I guess that's the best sound for now. Thank you everyone. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Lots of love.
